About

A highly scalable, low cost mobile first network infrastructure for Ethereum

According to Anderson Horwitz’s presentation cited by Forbes, “mobile is eating the world.”1 Cryptocurrencies have served limited utility in the real world to date. By our estimation, the adoption of cryptocurrencies by consumer masses hinges on improving transaction latency and providing accessibility to blockchains via mobile platforms. The GoNetwork platform (“GoNetwork”) is being designed and built by the Company (as defined in the definition section below). The generation and sale of GoTokens (as defined below) is being conducted by the Token Generator (as defined in the definition section below). The Company and the Token Generator are separate legal entities. For the purposes of this whitepaper (this “Whitepaper”), the term "GoNetwork Parties" includes both the Company and the Token Generator and is further defined in the definition section below. There are many exceptional communities, such as Plasma or Raiden, developing tools to overcome scalability limits on blockchains for desktop platforms, however GoNetwork's contributions address problems related to scalability on mobile platforms through supporting state channel transfers to mobile platforms.

Vision: GoNetwork aims  to bring solutions for Ethereum scalability and adoption issues. According to GoNetwork, there are a lot of projects which tries to  improve scalability of Ethereum desktop applications, but there are only a little which tries to improve mobile platforms.  GoNetwork vision is to create low cost, highly scalable,  mobile network infrastructure for Ethereum network.   This idea is planned to achieve by creating a state channel off-chain network.  This is similar to Bitcoin Lightning network conception.

Product: GoNetwork believes that there is ability to compile full Ethereum nodes for mobile platforms/applications. The product that GoNetwork will be creating is a  peer-to-peer network for Ethereum. GoExchange – will be a  a decentralized e-commerce platform for  mobile platforms/applications. You can imagine it something as a Google play application store.  It sounds like a one more platform which will just integrate cryptocurrencies, but the main advantage of this idea is that they will integrate first off-chain payments solution for Ethereum.  Unfortunately, this project doesn’t have any roadmap with milestones and we can’t know team plans for development. This project had a lot of hype because they they have won EthWaterloo (Ethereum hackathon), but there are a lot of things that you should keep an eye on. First of all, whitepaper looks very poor and there is no updates on it as it was promised. Second, there is no any details about company registration, which is a red flag. Moreover, there is a very shady thing with their alpha version, it was said they have  working alpha version , but it can’t be found anywhere.. All in all, this project have a lot of red flags, which may concern you as an investor.

Team: GoNetwork team consist of 3 members and 5 advisors. CEO Rashid Khan  is a Founder of Infinidy Corp, one of Canada’s leading game development studios. This is a good thing as the project idea comes about mobile network. All in all, team have a lack of knowledge in blockchain industry, team CTO said to be a blockchain expert, but as  for experience it’s being said only that ‘Worked at several Ethereum based open source projects’. Even advisory board don’t have any experience in blockchain.. This is a big question how this project managed to win Ethereum organized hackathon?

Token: GOT token will be built on Ethereum blockchain and it will be ERC20 token. GOT token will be used in a GoExchange as a currency and to create and finalize contracts on the exchange, a process it calls state channels. Project have an attractive total supply – 100 000 000 GOT tokens of which 50% will be on sale.   One more red flag, that 25% of total tokens belongs to team. Token sale is live now and it have raised over 94561 ETH. GoNetwork sales cap changes over time because of a decaying function. Also, there are bonuses available with reasonable discounts – presale participants had 25% while other investors have 15,10,5 % discount.
